flowers.

I love flowers. They make me feel a bit of happiness when they are in my environment.  I have especially been falling in love with a few things lately: the light pale color of pink, and blue hydrangeas.  Maybe I'm just becoming a bit more feminine; maybe I'm growing prematurely into an old lady.  Blue hydrangeas, white lilies, pale pink carnations, baby's breath, white roses, pale pink roses: these are a few of my favorite things.

Favorite flower? Go.

{Ross and Allie} Engagement Photos

I had a lot of fun with these two a few weeks ago!  They are wonderful, godly people, and I'm entirely happy for them and their new future together!  So blessed to know them!

{Our Backyard}

These are just some pictures from Christmas Eve (2013) that I forgot to post.

The idea of this time we had together was to pick up sticks and small pine cones to make the star for our Christmas tree.  It turned out beautifully, despite the burn it left on my thumb.  While we were out there, we stopped for an hour to admire our "backyard".  Since we don't live in an actual house, we don't literally have a backyard.  This section of land (known as The Point) looks out over most of Columbia, viewing the city, the Broad River, and fields with livestock further out.  It is simply peaceful.  God has given us such an amazing view of His beauty through our backyard.  You can see in one of the pictures a bird flying in the distance; where he is, he is far above the ground below him.  But we are high enough on our little hill that his high height is eye-level with us.  How incredible.  These are some memories of our backyard.

{Farewell} Not Goodbye

To my dear friend, AnnĂ©lise:
Thank you for all the talks we had in the past two years - especially the ones recently.  Thank you for our walks and the fun plans we played around with for the future.  Thank you for understanding that someday Frank and I will have 19 children - all named AnnĂ©lise - and we will be living in the same one bedroom apartment.  Thank you for being such a great friend.  I am proud of you and how brave you have been through all you have faced, and you are the bomb dot com for who you are.  Although you are done with school, although you are moving on, although we will not exist on the same campus anymore, I still love you and I will miss those times when people ask if we are sisters (from another mister), but I will always consider you to be just that ;) Now who's going to laugh when I act thug and country?
This is farewell, for now, not goodbye - never goodbye :)

{Our Sunday Evening}

We like taking Sunday walks.  Sunday evening is always our date night :) Sunday is the Sabbath, and we honor it.  Sunday evening, we honor God through our marriage.  This past Sunday evening, we went for  walk in the woods behind our apartments.  We found some new trails we had never seen before, and we found some old trails that we haven't seen in a long time.  We had a LOT of fun, we talked, walked, and loved.  I love Sunday evenings, and I love spending them with you. :)
